September 2026
Training • Community • Student Success • What’s Next
September is here, the school year is underway, and things are beginning to pick up again at PTC Zone. We have important schedule reminders, tournament news, a new community partnership, and more opportunities for our students to train and grow.
Thank you to every family that continues to train with us, recommend us, share our information, and support what we are building.
September at a Glance
Please make note of this month’s payment deadline, holiday closing, and two changes to the Youth Class schedule.
Tuition Due
September tuition is now due. Please make all monthly payments by Friday, September 4. Keeping accounts current helps us manage the studio and continue providing the small-class environment our students benefit from.
Labor Day Closing
PTC Zone will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Regular classes will resume following the holiday.
5:30 PM Class Change
There will be no 5:30 PM Youth Class on these two Mondays. The 6:30 PM class will continue as scheduled on both evenings.
Taking Self-Defense into the Community
PTC Zone is excited to partner with the Alonzo Mourning Foundation and Overtown Youth Center (OYC Miami) to provide a series of youth self-defense classes over the next several months.
This opportunity allows us to bring martial arts training, confidence-building, and practical self-defense skills to more young people throughout South Florida. Thank you for your flexibility while Coach Arturo teaches at OYC.
Student Spotlight
At PTC Zone, achievement is not measured only by medals. We recognize the courage to compete, the discipline to practice, and the willingness to keep improving.
Gabriel P. & Nova D.
Congratulations to Gabriel and Nova, who competed in last month’s Art of Minds Youth Invitational—their first tournament of the season.
- Gabriel faced several tough matches, kept fighting, and earned a Bronze Medal in Sparring.
- Nova pushed through her nervousness, stepped onto the competition floor, and earned a Silver Medal in Forms.
PTC Winner of the Month: Benjamin L.
Benjamin has become noticeably more focused and confident in his training. More importantly, he is learning not to give up when something is difficult.
Keep practicing, and difficult things begin to get easier.
That is exactly the kind of growth we want to see. Keep up the great work, Benjamin. That growth is what Kung Fu is all about.
Training Update
More Self-Defense & Sparring
Tournament season is getting underway, and we plan to increase opportunities for students to work on self-defense and sparring.
Students interested in tournament sparring will need their own approved sparring equipment. PTC Zone has wholesale accounts with two leading martial arts equipment vendors, allowing us to offer competitive pricing to our members.
Speak with Coach Arturo for training details, equipment requirements, and pricing.
Competition Is Optional
Students do not have to compete to be an important part of our team. Tournament training is available for students who want the extra challenge, but every student belongs here.
Some students will compete. Others will build confidence, improve their fitness, learn at their own pace, or simply find a positive place where they can be themselves.
Please Pre-Book Your Classes
Advance booking helps us prepare better classes, manage attendance, schedule activities, and make room for new programs. Same-day booking is not available, so please reserve your session at least one day in advance.
Help PTC Zone Grow
PTC Zone is intentionally a small studio. That allows us to know our students, provide individual attention, and create a place where no one gets lost in the crowd. Small studios grow through the support of their communities.
Leave a Google Review
Thank you to everyone who has already left us a review. Your words help new families discover PTC Zone and understand what makes our programs different.
Bring a Friend Wednesday
Know a child, family member, friend, neighbor, or coworker who might enjoy martial arts? Invite them to try a class with you on any Wednesday.
Sometimes the best new student is simply someone who needs an invitation through the door.
What Else Would You Like to See?
We are exploring additional classes, workshops, and activities that can expand our services and make better use of the studio. These may include martial arts, fitness, technology, creativity, or other youth enrichment opportunities.
If there is a program you believe would be a good fit, let Coach Arturo know. We want PTC Zone to become a place where students can train, learn, create, compete, and grow.
